A recently acquired residence in the Urban Wildland Interface had to be protected against wildfires and protected from erosion, even before a comprehensive garden design was made. UPLA proposed matting and a plant palette with drought tolerant, native, deer resistant groundcover. A temporary irrigation helps to establish the plants. Plan and implementation took less than 2 months and was ready before the rainy season started.
