The city council of Amsterdam asked for long term strategy to transform industrial harbor space into an urban mixed use neighborhood without damaging existing businesses. The plan pointed out several strategic actions that ignite transformation, enhance active transportation and public transport and bring in urban qualities. The plan is embraced by the city council and by the harbor authority and is being used as a guideline.
